KY Safe Schools Week

Kentucky Center for School Safety > KY Safe Schools Week

The Kentucky Center for School Safety (KCSS) is announcing Safe Schools Week, September 14-18, 2026.

This dedicated week aims to empower schools to strengthen their safety initiatives through targeted activities and discussions. The goal is to raise awareness about various aspects of school safety and empower students, teachers, parents, and the wider community to take proactive steps in creating a safe and nurturing learning environment for everyone.

“The safety of our students and staff remains our absolute top priority,” said Patricia Greer, Resource Center Director for the Kentucky Center for School Safety. “During KY Safe Schools Week, we encourage every school district to engage in meaningful conversations and implement initiatives that bolster their safety protocols. By working together, we can help make our schools places where learning flourishes in a secure atmosphere.”

KCSS extends its sincere gratitude to all Kentucky school districts that participated in the 2025 Kentucky Safe Schools Week campaign. Their commitment to fostering safer schools is truly commendable. You can view a summary presentation of KY Safe Schools Week 2025
