From the desk of Patricia Greer, Director of Kentucky Center for School Safety Resource Center

The Kentucky Center for School Safety (KCSS) is excited to announce that the theme for Kentucky Safe Schools Week is “Strong Roots. Safe Schools,” scheduled for September 14-18, 2026. This year’s theme highlights the need for ongoing vigilance and proactive steps to keep learning environments secure across the Commonwealth.

This week focuses on helping schools strengthen their safety initiatives through targeted activities and discussions. The goal is to raise awareness of various aspects of school safety and empower students, teachers, parents, guardians, and the wider community to take proactive steps to create a safe and nurturing learning environment for everyone.

Please complete the pledge and have members of your school community (staff, students, parents, and community stakeholders) complete the pledge. Pledge
