The Daviess County Public Schools Police Department participated in the “Stuff the Turkey” campaign alongside the Daviess County Public Schools district’s family resource and youth service center coordinators. The event invited the community to donate non-perishable food items, hygiene, and personal care products for students and their families. The Daviess County Public Schools police officers not only worked at the locations alongside the family resource and youth service center coordinators, but also helped create the baskets the families received.

The Daviess County Public Schools Police Department officers also participated in the Owensboro Shop with a Cop event. This event allowed over one hundred children who would not have normally received Christmas gifts to be given the opportunity to purchase clothes and toys for Christmas with police officers as their shopping partner.

The Daviess County Public Schools Police Department also led a Christmas Parade for Highland Elementary School. The parade was through the neighbors of the school and was a way for teachers to social distance and spread Christmas cheer to their students.
