Winter Safety at School

School administrators and teachers know that winter safety is of high importance. They need to keep in mind that children are not always aware of the dangers that can arise in winter months and work together to plan to keep the students and staff safe at school.

Winter planning for school should start early and include various areas of training and guidelines. Bus driver training is critical, recess guidelines are essential and snow days/early dismissals need to be preplanned and discussed. Below are resources to assist as your schools plan for wintry weather and all that come with it.
