McCracken County Public Schools Police Department (MCPSPD) has been recognized as a Kentucky Center for School Safety (KCSS) SRO Promising Program.  MCPSPD was established in the fall of 1998.  In August 2022, MCPSPD became a school-based law enforcement agency under House Bill 63.

The department has been rebranded as the McCracken County Schools Campus Police.  Austin Guill, Director of Campus Police still holds community-oriented policing and positive student relationships at the core of the department’s vision.  With full staffing and each campus covered, McCracken County Schools Campus Police will grow from 8 officers to 14 in the coming years.
