This email is to notify them that BJA just opened its FY 2026 STOP School Violence Program.

BJA FY 2026 Students, Teachers, and Officers Preventing (STOP) School Violence Program | Bureau of Justice Assistance

Funding can go toward:

  • Training to prevent student violence against others and self, including for local law enforcement, school personnel, and students
  • Anonymous reporting technology, including mobile apps, hotlines, and websites
  • School threat assessment and intervention teams coordinated with law enforcement
  • Specialized training for school officials responding to mental health crises

Eligible applicants include:

  • State, county, city, and special district governments
  • Federally recognized tribal governments
  • Nonprofits, with or without 501c3 status, including public school districts
  • Public and private institutions of higher education
  • Independent school districts

Applications are due to Grants.gov by October 30 and to JustGrants by November 6.
