The Office of Community Oriented Policing Services (COPS) is one of the components within the U.S. Department of Justice responsible for supporting the Administration’s priority of Making America Safe Again. This is accomplished through the advancement of community policing, which prioritizes the use of common sense policing practices by the nation’s state, local, territorial, and tribal law enforcement agencies to prevent crime and address public safety needs.

To support this priority, the COPS Office has appropriated more than $21 billion to advance community policing, including grants awarded to more than 13,000 state, local, territorial, and Tribal law enforcement agencies to fund the hiring and redeployment of approximately 141,000 sworn law enforcement positions.

Join us for our How to Apply webinar on Thursday, April 23, at 1:00 PM ET, to learn about the application process and gain some helpful tips for completing a successful application.
