DESCRIPTION:International Critical Incident Stress Foundation’s (ICISF) virtual training for Assisting Individuals and Groups in Crisis will be held on April 22-24. There is no cost to take this training. \nThe instructor\, Barbara J. Ertl\, has over 30 years’ experience in school social work and served as the director of a crisis team representing a multi-district area. As physical first aid is to surgery\, crisis intervention is to psychotherapy. Thus\, crisis intervention is sometimes called “emotional first aid”. This program is designed to teach participants the fundamentals of\, and a specific protocol for\, individual crisis intervention.
