This content will help support the aim of the School Safety and Resiliency Act goals of enhancing the use of trauma-informed approaches within schools. Please contact CTAC directly with any questions. \n— \nPlease share information with your colleagues about Trauma-Informed Practices to Prevent ACEs in Schools Breakthrough Series Collaborative that begins in January 2024. There is no charge for participation in the Breakthrough Series Collaborative and electronic materials are included. \nAnyone interested can register along with your school’s Trauma-Informed Team which includes personnel who are trauma champions invested in learning and implementing trauma-informed practices. Teams in this collaborative will participate in three learning sessions\, consultation calls\, assessments\, and will receive ongoing support. \nYou can learn more about this training and register here: https://ctac.uky.edu/aces \nIf you or your team members have already attended a Project AWARE TIPE learning collaborative you should not sign up for this collaborative as there will be repetition in the content received. DESCRIPTION:From the Readiness and Emergency Management for Schools (REMS) Technical Assistance (TA) Center \nThe 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline: What Does It Mean for Educators?\nTuesday\, January 30\, from 12:00 to 1:30 p.m. ET \nSchools and their community partners play a vital role in promoting mental health among students and the school community as a whole. The 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline can strengthen and complement these efforts. \n988 is a three-digit number that provides free\, 24/7 access to compassionate care and support for anyone struggling with emotional distress\, a mental health or substance use crisis\, or thoughts of suicide. Launched in July 2022\, the 988 dialing code replaced the existing 10-digit National Suicide Prevention Lifeline number. \nJoin REMS for a webinar on Tuesday\, January 30\, from 12:00 to 1:30 p.m. ET\, to learn more about 988 and how K-12 educators and educational partners can use this important resource to further support their school communities.
