Teachers
  • When you welcome your students each morning say something positive about their behavior.
  • Compliment cards are a nice way to make your students have a good day. The cards can be made ahead of time and just have compliments such as:
“Your working is getting better and better…
“You have a great smile and it makes others smile too…”
“Thank you for helping a fellow student with his/her work…”
These cards can be handed to the students in the morning or as you see
nice things happening in your room or in the hall.
Students
  • Make welcome signs for the entrance of the school and explain why visitors or parents must sign in for safety….(in a friendly and pleasant way)
  • Wall art with positive behavior statements could be included in each classroom or in the hall.
Community Members
